Hello fellow chicken lovers

I have found a love for chickens I never had thought possible. They are loads of fun. I currently have four hens. Two easter eggers and two salmon favorelles. The easter eggers are just about old enough to begin laying any day now. Only one of the salmons lays. I believe the other one is just really old. We had another salmon but having temperatures over 100 degrees most of the summer caught up to her.

I love to free range them around the yard. They love to eat freshly picked all organic basil from the garden and especially musk melons.

lol, sounds like our chickens, who get a lot of fruit too...
Not sure if it applies to all chickens, but our old ones have very small combs that aren't very red, so you can tell they're not laying.
