Put together your coop? Did you buy a pre-fab? If you did I strongly recommend you return it and build a coop or convert a shed into a coop.
The prefab coops are ridiculously undersized for the number of birds they claim to house and all need a proper run attached unless your plan is to free range and you have a place they can go in bad weather. And when a predator finds them and keeps coming back for more.

We bought a large prefab with a 10 X 10 covered run. We plan on adding on to it. It says it house 15 chickens and I am starting with 8 chicks. We live on 101 acres so I’ve got plenty of room to build onto it!
