HI all, my name is Christine. I'm a chef, wife and mother of a rambunctious 5 year old daughter, and the relatively new mom (first time!) of six Speckled Sussex birds. Looking forward to those in NJ or elsewhere who want to chat chickens, as they've become my new favorite hobby! Our chicks are 9 weeks old, and doing great! LOVE the forums, so glad three is a community here of like-minded peeps (pun intended).

Dont think you will find a shortage of people who want to talk poultry around here :)

You may be interested in the NJ thread also to chat with locals. You can find it by clicking on the brown Forum tab at the top, then Social, then Where am I, Where are you

If you go to "where am I, where are you" forum you can locate your state thread and post on it. There will probably be someone in your area that can give you specific advice.
