Glad to be a part of the backyard chickens community! Started raising chickens March 2012 with 7 two day old chicks. First rooster was a Cornish Rock, he's in the freezer now due to a hurt leg. He just got too fat lol. 12 LBS dressed weight! Replaced him with a Dominique. Down to 3 hens at the moment due to dogs and whatever else is eating them. I let them roam free a lot during the day so that is mostly my fault. Getting more hens before next spring. Check out my pictures if you have the time. Not sure what breed hens I have. Can anyone tell from the pictures?
