(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I had Belgian DāAnvers a long time ago as my 4H project pretty much my whole time in 4H. Now, over 10 years later, weāve just hatched our first flock of Bielefelders!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

Bielefelders
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love all the things chickens add to any home, but also love being able to set good caretaker habits for our son.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, cooking, knitting/crocheting, fishing/hunting.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Weāre a family of 3, with a turtle, 3 dogs, 3 rabbits and now, chicks. When Iām not wrangling pets or our threenager, I groom dogs at a local kennel.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Like everyone else, a google search led to reading a thread full of information!

Hi and welcome! I have a threenager grandson! What a great word! I'll have to tell his mom, she used to groom dogs too! Animals are great for kids to grow up with, I wish you all the best!
