Hello everyone,
We have been raising chickens for about 3 years now. I grew up on my dad's ranch where we had chickens but this is now something my husband and I enjoy with our family. What a joy they are! I look forward to learning so much on this forum. Thank you!

ohhh...btw... We currently have 3 Jersey Giants, 3 Americauna's, sadly only one Buff Orphington (predators got our other 2), 3 Sexlinks, 2 Silver Laces Wyondotte's, and 2 white Leghorns. We also have 2 Guinea's and one rooster.

We also have one lab, one boxer, one pitbull, one lab/pit mix, 2 tabby cats, and a pond of fish. And two precious daughters, ages 10 and 8.

We do keep the guineas with the others. The female gets along great with all the rest of them. However, the male often gets a bit of attitude. In the beginning, our rooster was so immature that he did not stand up for the flock but now that he is maturing, the male does not get away with as much pestering.
