Hello from rainy Alabama

Hi all,

Recently "retired" and acquired my grandparents place. I am totally new to chickens but as income has went down I am looking to raise for eggs, meat and a little income,

Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated and welcomed.

Hi and welcome to our community. Sounds like a good plan but there's not so much income to be made from having a small flock. If you break even with any income covering the cost of feed, consider yourself lucky. However, the benefits and satisfaction of eating your own birds and eggs outweighs all else IMO.
