Hello,
I have been lurking for quite some time on this site. Lol
I am a home school mom of 4 and live in southern California.
I have had chickens for about 2 years now, so I am quite new at this. I started with hens from my in-laws. We lost a couple to coyotes, one to a raccoon, and a couple to old age.
I just added 5 more chicks to my flock. We have a total of 7 chickens. We lost a hen yesterday, and I think it may have been due to coccidiosis, but what do I know? Lol. After some research on this site, I started adding garlic to my flock's food.
We try to eat healthy and mostly organic in our house and to treat everything naturally as much as possible. I would like to do the same with my flock.
Thanks so much to all of you veteran chicken lovers who post on here. Your information and willingness to help is much appreciated.
Blessings,
Gina
