Thanks @DobieLover. Sorry to here that your egg glassing did not work out. I hope to have better luck. Looking to avoid the freezer. I wonder though, your experience may explain why none of my grandparents ever mentioned it. My great grandparents often spoke of the great depression era. Tough times. Surely they would have tried egg glassing. The fact that they never mentioned it worries me - more so given your experience. Still, I really MUST try it! I glassed eggs. Twice. I lost half of each batch. 286 eggs. Now I dehydrate them then store them in the freezer.
