(1) Our first flock of 5 hens was in 2020. Last year the last one died, so we got 8 new chicks, all different breeds.

(2) One disappeared, so just 7 now.

(3) All different breeds.

(4) Favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens is the daily ritual/routine of caring for them and sharing the eggs.

(5) Fav hobbies - gardening, hiking, driving my son around.

(6) I am recently retired.

When you say one "disappeared," that reminds me of when we started many years ago and that happened a few times until we changed things around here by adding solar motion lights, wind spinners, and another dog. Haven't had one go missing since.
