Hi! I found this site while googling for specific info. I love it.
I got my first chickens this past spring for eggs. I never even considered the chicks becoming my beloved pets, and I certainly did not expect to become completely taken with the chicken world!
Okay. I have 2 white leghorns and 2 golden comets (hens) hand raised since day 1. I am getting about 3 eggs a day. I am buying 2 black australorps this weekend, a hen and a rooster. I want baby chickens. The australorps are about 7 months old.
Here are some pictures. My coop is a work in progress lol but I love it and I think the chickies do too. They completely free range when the sun comes up and head back to the coop at sundown. They head to the "nesting" hehe boxes when its time too.
I look forward to getting to know everyone.
