Help- 2.5wk Ducklings Panting

I have ducklings in a utility room. Temp in room stays around 78 but drops sometime in the night to 67.
Ducklings lay down under heat light and pant.
I turn on before I go to bed 11pmish because it cools off.

should I turn lamp off? Decrease to a lower wattage. The light: (250w 5.6 ft above brooder)

Brooder is 5ft x 8ft so plenty of room to get away from light.

Hi there.

I wonder if its the contrast in temps thats driving them under a lamp thats a smidge too hot ? So the rooms a bit too cool but the lamps too hot.

I think decrease the wattage, ensure they have plenty of water (and enough to dip their nares into) and see how you go !
