Help big problem w/ Aphids and ants

Haha! Just to clarify, it has only been tested on humans (that i'm aware of) ;)  I meant that neem oil is the raleigh salve of the plant world.  Here is a link... it's a bit pricey, but it sure does seem to do the trick for my ailments!

Well you got MY attention lol.... I had to go look for grandmas salve ;)

Shocker! Turpentine?!?! Oh butvut gave me a chance to learn some very interesting stuff, so thanks!

I'll share two things I found!

Ok, so I had no idea that it can come from a pine tree ;)

Obviously it can have side effects, just like everything else...

Has potential for other uses besides skin salve ;)

I've tried a homade lemon oil thing( lemon rind, boiling water let steep) it doesn't work!! I've been trying to kill aphids for a while now. AND THAN GUESS WHAT!!! Some of the strawberry leaves were all covered in tiny baby green grasshoppers! Aphids, ants, and now GRASSHOPPERS!

Haha, that's all very interesting! You learn something new every day.

I make it a POINT to learn something new every day, so thank you for the chance lol ;)

Hey! The grasshoppers should scare away the ants and eat the aphids,.. at least, in theory lol ;)

I ended up spraying our infested plants with water/dish soap to drown the aphids. They died all right but the ants cut the leaves that I sprayed off the plants. Yesterday I set a 1.5" riser on the stand pipes in the bed to raise the water level up enough to hopefully drown the ants or at least make them move on.

I am not sure if this is true , but on the news I heard that there was a swarm of ants in Adkins Texas Walmart buying up these..
