All chickens have spur buds, regardless of sex. And its not uncommon for hens to grow spurs... I have a hamburg that has one spur.If you want to know if a chick is a boy or girl there isn’t really a way of knowing for sure but what I usually do is see I there is a bump on its leg If it’s a rooste I’d say check for that first.
