HELP! Egg stuck outside of my duck!

I have a Khaki Campbell duck that just started laying (this is her 4th egg). It appears that the egg was still wrapped in a membrane when she went to lay it and now it is stuck outside her vent. What should I do?

Please help ASAP!

Can you take her to a vet?

The only emergency vet around here is for dogs and cats. Even my regular vet (IF he was open on Sundays) will not look at chickens.

I will need to deal with this myself... even if it means putting my duck down.

As far as I can tell, it has a shell but when we touch it, it is not yet hard (pushes to the touch).

If it had a proper shell it would feel hard. Quite possible that it has a very thin shell. Can you find the opening?
