Help! Full crop and medication.

I have a hen that had a crop that felt like a water balloon, but not huge. Long story short, started treating with monistat orally for a few days, then was advised to deworm her. I did so 2 days ago. My main quesion is, will the dewormer work if it's just sitting in her crop and not being digested? She's rapidly losing weight. I've been giving her Nutri-drench to make her feel better. She was dewormed with a pea size amount of safeguard paste. I had to resort to making her throw up today as her crop was quite a bit larger. She has passed watery poops a couple times that I saw yesterday. No solid poops seen for days, however she's been caged off and on and is in the coop with her friends over night.

Do not try to make your hen vomit, you can make matters much worse. She could aspirate the liquid - get it in her lungs - and get pneumonia. Read the article linked above, it's very helpful. Good luck!

I agree. @Chickens are stressful making your hen vomit causes other problems, so please don't make her vomit again
