What breed does this rooster look like? I saved him from a friend who doesn’t know what he was.

That is his daytime home for him. I just got him today and the person did not have a coop for him so he was just surviving on his own.

I just noticed the metal pole in the background and I'm assuming it's meant to be a roosting bar. Those are hard for them to grab on to and will get pretty cold, not good for a bird that already has frost bite. Real wood or branches will be much more comfortable for him to perch on.
