Help momma hen sat and killed two chicks.

What do I do. I came to the hutch tonight where she is alone with her babies and could not find two of them. WHen I came back with the flash light I found them imbeded in the nest dead but quite warm. CRY

I took the other 4 babies back to the brooder with the other chicks I have. I am very new to the momma raising babies. She did such a great job so far not sure why they died.

Should I have left the babies with her or did i do good. So confused.

You did the right thing, mtcookie! I dunno why the hen did that but you did the right thing to remove the chicks.
