HELP!!!!! QUICK

I am hatching some duck eggs and this is day 25 so I was candling and placing them for lockdown but as I was placing one of the eggs it fell and cracked the bottom of the egg and the egg chip fell off. The membrane is not pierced but I'm worried it will dry out. Some of the eggs are already pipped. What should I do to prevent the membrane from drying out

I've never tried this, but cutting a small piece of tape to cover the hole is an idea. Perhaps repairing it with some type of non-toxic drying latex that you brush on? Occasional spraying with water to keep moist?

Keep it moist with a cotton swam and warm water. You can put vaseline or a topical antibiotic with out pain reliever on it as well. Has this one pipped internally?
