Help, swollen eye getting worse

Please help. I don’t know what I’m dealing with. She is the oldest chicken I have and she has had eye problems for the last 3 days. I started antibiotic ointment for her eye today. But I’d like to know what I’m working with. No other symptoms of any illness or anything. Eating fine, active, and so on. I did just discover that she had a lot of lice on her. None of my other hens have them. I’ve checked everyone and have begun to treat the coop and her of course. Is this lice related? She had a lot around that area

It's possible the lice could be irritating the eye. Flush it well and keep the ointment in the eye.
Do what you can to rid the flock of the lice. Treating the coop and all the birds with a permethrin based dust or spray. Repeat in 7 day intervals.

If they are on her head, pay particular attention to that area and make sure the lice are gone from there.
