Help...the metal tag is stuck my my baby's wing!!

I'm very new to all of this so I hope I dont sound dumb..lol I bought 3 babies and my husband got all the little metal tags that tell you the girls from the boys. Well on one the skin had grown around the tag and her wing and we cant seem to get it off.I have only had them 3 days. Should I call my vet and see what he says or does anyone have any ideas..thanks so much!!

I've never used the metal wing tags because they're permanent. Until I saw your post here, I didn't know they *could* be removed. I'd say if you want it off call the vet, because the tags clip near the wing tendon and if that gets cut, your chick will have a limp wing for the rest of its life.

You can try vaseline where the tag is and see if it will loosen the skin from the metal. Then it should slide freely. Try that and see if it helps. I have often times left the tags on for the life of the bird it just depends.
