help. what can I feed my 5 week old chicks?

SOme critter (my dog or raccoon) got into ALL my chicken feed. I can't replace till tomorrow. Anything I can cook them up? Rice? Pasta, dog food?.......

Cooked oatmeal, and add some veggies and fruit.

THEY JUST went NUTS on the oatmeal. Took them about 5 minutes to trust trying it, now they all are ALL OVER IT!

Sounds like your chicks ate well.

I keep some feed set aside in coffee cans or tuppers, kept inside or in another safe place, in case of an emergency. It gets rotated out each time fresh is purchased. Has come in handy a few times.
