Hatching ducklings and went to put on lockdown (day 25) and I noticed one had pipped. He’s been making very little progress and it’s been 36 hours. Is he just not ready yet since he pipped early? He also pipped at the wrong end. And advice??? Two other eggs have internal pip and 2 more haven’t done anything yet. Thank you!!

I think Amelia means the inner membrane might dry out, and shrink wrap the chick. Keep the humidity high and don’t open the incubator unless your sure about helping it. If you do, chip away the shell by the air cell. If you see blood or live veins, stop and let it absorb the vessels before continuing.

What would I use to do that? It’s so small. And at what point should I do it? Should I wait until it’s actually day 28?
