Hen attacked by the rest of the flock--UPDATE

I culled her this morning. In spite of my efforts, her neck wasn't getting any better.

I used the broomstick method. I thought that would be the best way for her, not so much for me, (my first culling and ended up taking her head right off...eeeeek!!!) but she went really quick.

So very sorry, but you tried your best for her. Yeah, I stopped using the broomstick method after my bantam Polishs head popped off...... It worked but scared me, lol. I now use a very sharp pair of limb loppers and place them in a feed sack before lopping. That way I dont see it and they are already baged up so it's less traumatic.
