Hen Comb Question?

Hey, all! I have kind of a weird question. Can a hen's comb shrink? I have a leghorn who had a comb so big. it flopped over and now it is much smaller and lighter colored as well. She did just molt, so I don't know if that has to do with it. I haven't had chickens very long, so I was just wondering.

Yes, the combs shrink and get lighter in color at molting time. Sounds normal. It will resume its size and color, probably in the spring....

If she's molting, then yes. A comb usually does pale and shrink during molt since they are not in lay.
