Hen or rooster

Hello all
Can anyone tell me if this is a gen or rooster. Recently picked up two chickens and was told they had both hens but I am only getting one egg at the moment.

How old? Looks like an adult hen.

I believe the lady said they are last years flock. So a year old.
I guess I was just second guess her, it's only been about a week since we got the two hens .
Only one is laying right now, not sure what one but I'll give it time.

The stress of a move can cause a hen to quit, I would expect her to resume after a bit. It's also possible they are both laying but not on the same day.
