Really sorry, Abby, but try not to blame yourself. I lost my favorite hen, Lucy, from another hen pecking a hole through her skull while my big roo had her pinned down. Thought I could treat her myself, but I lost her That's why when my little silkie got scalped by a rooster, I took her in right away. It's so hard to lose any of them but a favorite... well, they just take a piece of your heart with them. My heart goes out to you. She was loved... That's what matters most to any heart that beats.
