Two days ago, my almost 3-year-old RIR was sitting in the nest for 20 hours. I thought she was egg bound so I gave her two 600mg calcium tablets. I was getting ready to give her an Epsom salt bath but I saw that she got up out of her nest and started walking around, eating and acting normal.
I let her out yesterday and she stood in one spot, puffed up, head down. She walked around to drink and eat a bit but after that she stayed in one spot for hours.
I decided to bring her inside since she was just standing in the sun, not looking so good.
I left some food and water with her in her cage but unless I bring it up to her face she just sits there. Her poop looks normal, green and soft, but her vent is dirty. And her poop smells really bad. I've had chickens inside before and it doesn't normally smell this bad.
I wormed her in December. No idea what's going on with her.
