our hen's leg is broken in two places- we think. one place is right where the leg meets the feathery part of the upper leg and also her toes are are curled and perhaps broken. she is getting around with a pronounced limp. we had thought about splinting the upper part, but the way she hobbles around, thought it might get caught up and create even more of a danger to herself. a woman at Murdoch's feed store told us about a lady who attached - perhaps even super glued a button to the footpad to keep the toes from curling. does anyone recommend this or should we just let her get along on her own. the injury is about 14-16 days old.
