Hi, a few months back my hen flew and hit her foot on a wooden doorstop and starting limping immediately. I have tried keeping in a kennel all day so she didnt have to walk on it too much, but it was never enough for her to heal. Now she seems to be able to walk reasonably normally, but whenever she "runs" she hops or skips because of the sore foot while flapping her wings furiously, obviously to help sped her along or for balancing I guess. She also seems to sit down a lot, especially more than the other hens in the flock. Her foot seems to be swollen, particularly her inside toe.
Her left foot is the one that is swollen and the toe pointing downwards.
Can anyone please help, I want her to get better. thanks

Welcome To BYC

What does the bottom of the foot look like?

To help reduce swelling you can try soaking her feet in a warm epsom salts bath. To me both feet look a bit swollen.
Provide her with some poultry vitamins that contain B2 (Riboflavin), offer a little extra protein like egg or tuna and keep treats limited to no more than 5-10% of daily intake.
