Hens ate dropped egg! Can they get sick?

While collecting the eggs, i dropped one that broke open and the yolk spilled out. My hens ran over to it and started eating it, but i stopped them and buried it. Can they get sick?? Any help appreciated.

No, they will not get sick. Whenever that happens, remove the shell pieces at once so they don't catch on to breaking and eating eggs!
