Hello all. Decided to get chickens last year...hubby says it's worth the eggs. I have a mix of chickens, some bantam, that we started with last year. The 2 frizzles ended up being a frizzle and a frazzle thought it was sick n dying...but just a defect and I love him). One was a Peking duck. He thinks he is one of the roosters. He is 2nd in command, with 3 roosters under him. And yes, he tries to mate with the girls. Last month we added 7 more mixed ducks and a few more hens, with a guinea hen and 2 turkeys. On top of the 4 dogs and a cat.lol I love my baby farm!

Welcome to BackYard Chickens! You have a very lovely flock. That Frizzle rooster is beautiful!! I do suggest you separate your Pekin from your hens because he could accidentally hurt them. (Also be careful with him around the Guinea too, because he'll attempt to mount her too.) Thank you for introducing yourself and sharing some pictures of your lovely birds! :love:love
