Very nice to meet you Kat. How wonderful of you to take in your nephew- I know you all will share in the benefits.

Thank you and nice to meet you too!! I couldn't tell you who's more excited to get our farm started, me or the kids!!! We've already started laying out where the chickens will go, how big the green house and garden should be, whether or not we should get a couple pigs and the kids have started looking at trees for a tree house!! I have to remind myself that it all doesn't have to be done at once and that we'll be there for the rest of our lives!

Sounds like we have a similar background - I grew up a "city gal" and shocked everyone when I made plans to start a garden and OMG get chickens.  

Most of those folks still think I'm a little crazy but IMO they are just jealous 

Good luck with the build and the move - 

They can keep the high crime rates, terrible drivers, shootings and deadly drugs!!! I think they're crazy not to want this life!!!!!! Bye Bye City Life, Hello FREEDOM!!!
