1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I am completely new to ducks- have had chickens in the past.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 6 runner 3 week old ducklings currently and plan on 3 more blue runners next year.

(3) What breeds do you have? Indian Runner (fave chicken breed is Barred Rock)

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? well, I had chickens (about 10 years ago) for the eggs and the foraging but lived in a small town and had them in small, fenced backyard. Now I live pretty remotely on 45 acres and am excited about the foraging, the eggs, and the hilarious antics of my Runners

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? reading, diy old home renovation, antiquing, thrifting, homesteading, kayaking, nature etc

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share: I work as a permit specialist for a solar company, have 2 grown daughters (23 and 29), am 15 years married to the best man in the world, we have a large (I swear it's muscle) boston terrier named Oskar Snufflebean and a sweet aussie named Hazel (who LOVES these ducklings), currently living in and totally diy "renovating" an old 1877 farmhouse that was last lived in in the 1930's.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D I found it searching the googles for runner duck/duck info. Pretty awesome site. Nice to meet all of you :)
