We have 34 chickens, 8 we got yesterday and they are six links, 4 black 4 yellow. We did what we have done twice before and waited until dark and took the babies out and put under 2 separate brooding hens. but for what ever reason both tried to peck them to death..... we ended up bringing them into the house and keeping them under a heating light with food and water. Do you have any ideas as to why they did this? and what can we do now? they need a mama hen to take care of them. Any suggestions would be Awesome!!!!
Thanks Gigi loves her chicks.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
