(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes! I got seven chicks on April 6th and am having tons of fun with them so far.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

2 Unknown / Suspected Olive Eggers
2 Speckled Sussexes
1 Buff Orpington
1 Dominique

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I guess I'll find out! They're really fun o far and it's been great to watch them grow. I was really nervous we would lose one or two in the first week but so far so good!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Rock Climbing, Skiing, Composting.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm an ecologist currently working as an environmental consultant. I have a dog named Gerald (he ADORES the chicks) and a cat named Anna (she wants to eat the chicks).
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I kept ending up on this forum every time I searched a question online so it seemed like a great resource to tap into!
