Hi, Everyone,
We're new to BYC and new chicken owners in Hayward, CA. We started out with 3 Rhode Island Red chicks from the feed store. Now one of our "hens" has started to make the funniest crowing noises. We suspected all along that something was different there, but didn't know if it was just a mixed breed or what. So, since roosters are not allowed in the city, our little flock will be even smaller soon. My husband is in the process of building our coop, so we will get pics of that here soon. This site has been a great help in raising the little ones, and in planning the coop.
Thanks so much!
