Hi new to BYC all of the way from the UK

Hello and :welcome
Good luck with your chicken, I hope you find a cure for her soon. Doris, what an awesome name.
I used to live in the UK, I am from Leeds. Fantastic country!
Anyway, I hope you have many rewarding experiences raising your chickens, don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and enjoy the site! :D

Hello,

Thank you for your post, Doris seemed the perfect name for her

Where are you living now? somewhere nice warm and dry???

Poor Doris is still not too good. I am so confused as she is eating, drinking and laying as normal. I am just keeping a close eye on her and have moved her to a separate coop. I'm hoping that it is just a sprain and not the dreaded mareks and that a few days of rest will help her.

I am sure I will have many questions and am already loving the site.

Hi everyone,

Doris is still no better today, so dis heartening. Will give it a couple more days to see if she improves and then I guess it's decision time.

Hi, so sorry to hear your chicken isn't very well, I was heartbroken when I had to let mine go as she couldn't walk without limping, it wasn't fair to her, she must have been in pain. Hopefully it won't come to that with you. Have you checked to see if she has any swellings on her knees or anything?
