I am a new chicken keeper, currently raising 10 straight run chicks. We plan on keeping the hens and having our own little flock on our two acres. We are fairly certain we've got a few easter eggers, a speckled sussex, a few marans (but are looking to be roos so I won't bother with breed specifics) and possibly a few other mixes.

We have two kids, two cats, a big dog and now 10 chicks. It'll be interesting to see how many hens we end up with.


We live in Ontario, Canada.
