ok so i have a very horny rooster...he is mounting ALL the girls even the ones not laying at the babies. i plan on keeping him since he is a good protector even though he is tearing the girls neck feathers out. i know he has managed to get the job done and the girls that are laying are getting cranky about me collecting eggs.
im going to start candling more often to check but should i mark the eggs that are good and let the hens hatch them or should i invest in an incubator?
i just dont know if its better to let the hens do the work or if they wont work out right since this is my first time dealing with my roo wanting to make babies. ah love is in the air.....
