how do you guys store eggs before hatching?

i only get 2-4 per day. if i want to save them for a few days before incubating them, how do i store them? refergerator? how many days can i wait until i have to incubate them?

You could just put them on the counter. Don't put them in the refridgerator.

we keep it 76-74. i can't go any cooler than that here. the electric bill would drive me out!

An embryo can start to grow at 70 degrees but can't sustain growth at that temp longer than a few days. It is best to keep eggs 45-50 degrees. You also should turn them twice a day to keep the chalice from stretching to much to one side.

Oh and they can handle 7 days with great success but they will start to decline (affecting hatch rate) after that 7 days.

so counter top for up to 7 days. sweet. that will give me anywhere from 14-28 eggs to incubate. perfect! thank you guys!
