How do you tell a hen apart from a rooster

A Hen will not walk as upright, will have smaller comb and wattles, will not develop spurs, will not have curly tail feathers or saddle feathers and most of the time will have thiner legs.

Upright Posture is seen in females too, more so the dominant hens, it could be a breed trait as well.

Depends on the breed, on comb, & wattle size.
Hens/pullets will grow spurs too, I've got several of them this year for some reason.

Seen plenty of hens/pullets with thicker legs. I have some.

Oh really thats interesting on thicker legs must just be the breeds I raise🤷‍♀️😊

Oh wow! Is it normal for a hen to grow spurs? I've never had that happen.
It's pretty common. It's just not everyone experiences it.
