How Long??

Out of my dual purpose birds that are 8 weeks old, how long do I let the cockerels grow before butchering. I have Buckeyes, and Chantecelers. I don't want them to get to old so that they aren't as tender.

Depends on the breed. Some breeds grow very fast ( which are used commercially). Other breeds I'd say normally take 4-8 months to be fully grown. I"m not sure about yours.
