How many chickens??!!!

Hi all

I have a coop measuring (1 12ftx8ft) linked to a run (2 12ftx6ft), from that run its joined to another standard (3 8ftx6ft) shed and that's got a joining run (4 19ftx8ft)
1=main shed with nest boxes and roost but also as a brooder within.
2=shaded area with roof
3=old shed, used now for whatever they want to
4=main run and play area.
Was just pondering how many I could fit in?

There is really no magic number, and once they start feeling crowded, it can be difficult tochange behaviors. This is an excellent writeup on space, with some guidelines:

Yeah I know they need at least 5 square foot of living space per bird but it gets difficult with height and all. I know we have a decent amount, over 20 but our living space isn't that big. We do keep them on a large run though.
