1 out of 6. The leghorn is the only one laying. The orps, black stars and ee stopped in Dec. Then they started molting. They sure picked a bad time for it. Since then we had 2 hard freezes in Dec. and another is due tonight. And this is sunny Fl.???

Here it is, the end of the day, and we got only 3 out of 11. At this rate, we'll have only 9 or 10 by the time we get them to the incubator on Saturday.

I was getting 2 to 3 a day from 8 hens but I stopped giving them cracked corn last week and am feeding them only layer crumbles now. I am now getting 5 a day. I thought they slacked off laying because of the cold weather but now I think it was because of the cracked corn. We are having the coldest temps. that I remember in years.

For real? I'm gonna have to stop giving my girls cracked corn and just give layer pellets. Was just reading about that but wow. Thanks!

12 today,,I got 16 new gold comets coming saturday,18 weeks old,they should be laying in several weeks,If they lay like the first 12 I bought 2 years ago I will be in eggs up to my haunches,those golden comets lay jumbo and super jumbo brown eggs,,my customers love them,,,,
