Total 34 for the week 11 girls 2 not laying due to heat. Brings my average down a lot but still good

August 21 through August 27, 2016 I got 89 eggs. Biden a bit this week but had rain nearly everyday this week.

I got 4 eggs and 1 Extra Jumbo at 84 grams. WOW. That blew away the old record of 71 grams from my 21 1/2 week old golden comets. I'm saving today's Velocirapter egg for when I'm really hungry. Shown with 2 medium, 1 large and 1 E.L. Can you tell which is the Dino egg.

[Golden Buffs]

I have 6 laying hens (2 golden buffs, 2 red-sex links and 2 Easter Eggers). I'm only averaging about 3 eggs since I've got them. I'm feeding them the laying pellets with their scratch. Any suggestions as to why the other 3 aren't laying ??? Very very new to the chicken business (only being in it about a 2-3 weeks)

Not when they molt all their energy is spent in the molt

Since I've not had these chickens but 2-3 weeks, I'm trying to decide if they are molting or just not laying cause of the move. I see lots and lots of feathers outside the coop so I'm guessing molting but I'll guess I'll have to wait and see.....how long does it take one to molt ??
