Got 20 eggs today in the rain. My birds love the rain.

What breed lays green eggs? Do you have any ham around?

Olive eggers. Cross between an ameruacana and a brown egg layer.

Easter Eggers lay green eggs. Generally they come from one parent that lays brown eggs and one that lays blue eggs. Olive Eggers do indeed lay olive green eggs. Their parents are the same except the brown egg layer would be of the very deep chocolate brown egg varieties.

24 today. We do have some olive eggers but way too young to lay yet. (about 16 weeks old)

We got 9 today from 9 hens, but one had a very thin shell that broke up in the nest. We think that is our Marans finally coming on line. Her sister died, so she is the only Marans in the flock. Usually we get at least 2 of every breed.

So do I, makes it easier to know who is in the barn at night and which are laying. I got 2 Welsummers and 2 Barnevelders April 2017. One of the Barnevelders turned into a roo, one of the Welsummers died last March of unknown medical reasons. Started with sour crop, I got her over that and she was OK for 2 weeks then it started again and I couldn't fix her. So last April I got 1 more Welsummer, 1 more Barnevelder and because DD1 wanted the cuuuuuute Golden Campines, 2 of those. One didn't show up one evening in the fall so I'm down to 1 of those.

24 again 3 days in a row, but I’m getting varieties. I know 3 EEs are back in laying-3 different shades of green, the lone California White and a 3 yr old Leghorn must be in a contest both lays 5-6 eggs a week.
