5 today! First time in probably 2 months! That’s 1/3 of my girls earning their pellets. If they keep it up we can stop buying eggs again.

I was just telling hubby how the chickens were slacking today !!! I usally get 15-25 eggs per day and only got 6 today

CONGRATS on the GREAT number of eggs you got

Feed some grain and add more protein I did this for my flock and the laying is back up we'll. 17 hens 1 roo, 6 ducks I get on average 5-9 eggs a day. Most my ladies are retired waiting to be sold next fall.

I got TWO eggs yesterday! Aurora STILL hasn't moulted and has laid 40 eggs in the last 2 months. Yesterday Vienna also laid. I don't expect she'll keep it up through to spring but it was a nice surprise. I might see a few more. I have had some girls that would restart in late Dec for a week or two then say "What the heck am I doing??" and quit until the end of February.
