How much protein do houdan chicks need? I'm getting some and want them to get the best care possible.
Any other tips on raising houdan chicks are helpful too. Thank you.

Assuming you are in the USA, just buy them chick starter. Their needs should be the same as chicks of almost any other breed of chicken.

Typical recommendation is about 20% protein, with a little lower being acceptable in some cases, and a little higher being recommended for some kinds of meat chickens (which would not apply to Houdans.) I would not go below 18% protein.
