How much weight can a hawk lift up?

Mabe if it is a chick or very small chicken but most of the time a hawk dive bombs a bird and hits it with such force that it at the very least stuns the birde and then will finish it off then drag it under cover if it can and eat what it can, if the bird is left the hawk usuall returns the next day for another meal.

In my experience, they kill and eat on the spot. Hitting the bird so hard that it doesn't stand a chance. The last one I lost to a hawk died of massive head trauma...there wasn't another mark on her body. I chased the hawk off only seconds after the attack. This was my third loss to a hawk and none of them were moved whatsoever.

Yes easly they can lift a small child if they try..

No, a regular size hawk cannot lift a small child. Maybe a large eagle can.

Eagles can. We have bald eagles around here. I see mostly immature bald eagles. They are big but haven't gotten the white head and tail yet. A friend had one get his rooster.
